Worker Apartments & Rooms in Essen

Let's talk prices plainly: our apartments start from €80 per night – that is the whole apartment, not a per-person rate. With four workers that is from €20 per head per night, including final cleaning, bed linen and towels. Discounted flat rates apply for weekly and monthly stays – just send us your dates and headcount and you will receive a concrete total offer shortly.

Check-in is contactless via door code, around the clock: if the crew only gets off site at 10 pm, nobody is left standing outside. And for questions you reach us directly via WhatsApp – we usually reply within minutes, weekends included.

Our worker apartments are spread across three locations in Essen – depending on where your team is working: in Frohnhausen (Haskenstrasse and Muelheimer Strasse, 45143/45145) you are right by the A40 – the Essen-Frohnhausen junction is two minutes away, and sites in western Essen, Muelheim or Duisburg are practically on your doorstep, with supermarkets and bakeries within walking distance. In Katernberg (north Essen, right by the Zollverein Colliery) you are perfectly placed for jobs towards Gelsenkirchen, Bottrop and the A42 – with private parking at the door. And by the Opernplatz in the city centre stays whoever needs it central: a 2-minute walk to the main station, a lift in the building and a private underground parking space.

Parking is often the deciding factor for crews: several of our apartments have their own space or free parking close by – vans included. Tell us how many vehicles you are bringing and we will suggest the right apartment.

The equipment covers everything that makes a long assignment bearable: fully fitted kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher and coffee machine, fridge-freezer, smart TV with Netflix for the evening, high-speed Wi-Fi (strong enough for video calls home) and, in several apartments, a washing machine with drying rack. Bed linen, towels and final cleaning are always included – your team travels with nothing but a suitcase.

For dispatchers and companies we keep it simple: invoices with itemised VAT, on request addressed to the company and marked with a project or cost-centre reference. For larger teams we coordinate several apartments close to each other – around 39 beds across 10 apartments in total. Extensions are handled without red tape via WhatsApp or e-mail.

We are often the rescue at short notice, too: if an apartment is free, your team can move in the same day thanks to self-check-in. Why an apartment instead of a guesthouse or hotel? Because the maths works out twice over for company and crew: self-catering easily saves €15–20 in food costs per person per day – for a four-man team over two weeks that is several hundred euros. Add real recovery: your own living room instead of a hotel corridor, no fixed breakfast times, no house rules from strangers. After ten hours on site, that decides whether the crew is still motivated on Friday. Our guests are electricians, scaffolders, HVAC installers, trade-fair builders for Messe Essen, industrial fitters and construction crews – many come back for follow-up projects.

New: single rooms instead of a whole flat

Not every team needs a whole flat. That is why we now also rent out individual furnished rooms in our shared flats: everyone gets their own lockable room with a bed, storage and a workspace, while the kitchen and bathroom are shared. For single workers and small crews this is the cheapest option – you only pay for the space you actually need.

We currently have 21 rooms across five shared flats in Essen: three flats in Essen-Frohnhausen with four rooms each, one centrally located flat with four rooms, and one flat in Essen-Kray with five rooms and a large terrace. Electricity, water, heating and Wi-Fi are always included, and the shared areas are cleaned regularly.

Room or whole flat – what suits you?

• A single worker or two colleagues: a room in the shared flat – affordable, ready to move into, no paying for a whole flat you do not need.
• A crew of three to five: several rooms in the same flat – you stay together, share the kitchen and bathroom, one invoice for the company.
• Larger team or long project: a whole apartment sleeping up to six in separate bedrooms – more privacy and a kitchen just for you.
