Die Essener Lichtwochen finden 2026 bereits zum 77. Mal statt und laufen vom 25. Oktober 2026 bis 2. Januar 2027 in der Essener Innenstadt (u.a. Kettwiger Straße, Willy-Brandt-Platz, Grillo-Theater). Animierte Lichtskulpturen, große Lichtbögen über den Straßen und beleuchtete Fassaden prägen das Stadtbild - der Eintritt ist frei, die Lichter sind rund um die Uhr sichtbar. Ab Mitte November überschneidet sich das Event mit dem Internationalen Weihnachtsmarkt Essen. Für unsere Gäste ist das ein starkes Argument für einen Städtetrip oder eine Verlängerung des Messeaufenthalts im Winter - deutlich zu unterscheiden vom bereits erfassten Essen Light Festival (2.-11.10.), das ein separates, kürzeres Event ist.
