Security Essen: 22–25 September 2026
The world's leading trade fair for security and fire protection opens the autumn season – four days, an international professional audience, many teams staying several nights. For exhibitors and trade visitors: book now – in our experience, accommodation near the fair is gone about four weeks ahead. SPIEL Essen: 22–25 October 2026
The world's biggest board game fair – more than 190,000 visitors from around the globe turn Essen into the board gaming capital of the world for four days. For SPIEL, one rule applies: book as early as you possibly can. These are our most requested dates of the year; anyone starting their search in September usually only finds leftovers far outside the city. All details on our SPIEL page with live availability.
Essen Motor Show: 27 November – 6 December 2026
The horsepower festival with sporty production cars, tuning and motorsport runs for a whole week – ideal if you are flexible: weekdays are much quieter than the weekends. We are happy to accommodate exhibitor teams in several apartments at once, with a company invoice on request. See the Motor Show page.
IPM Essen: 26–29 January 2027
The world's leading horticulture trade fair brings professionals from over 100 countries to Essen. Four compact fair days mean the Monday-to-Friday nights sell out early, while the weekends before and after stay relaxed. Early birds secure the parking spots close to our apartments. E-world energy & water: 9–11 February 2027
Europe's leading energy industry fair is the classic business event: three full days, lots of business travellers, high hotel prices. This is exactly where an apartment pays off twice – a workspace with high-speed Wi-Fi for follow-ups, a kitchen for an early breakfast, and an invoice with itemised VAT for your expense report on request. Techno-Classica: spring 2027
The world fair for classic cars attracts enthusiasts from all over the world every spring. The exact 2027 date had not been confirmed at the time of writing – it is usually in April. As soon as it is official, you will find it on our Techno-Classica page.

Our booking timeline for trade fair guests
From experience we recommend booking 3–6 months ahead for Security, SPIEL and the Motor Show, and at least 2–3 months ahead for IPM and E-world. All our apartments are just minutes from the fairgrounds, with self-check-in around the clock – even if your set-up day runs late.
