From 22 to 25 September 2026, the international security industry meets in Essen: Security Essen is the world's leading trade fair for security and fire protection – four full fair days with professionals and exhibitors from around the globe. For the city, that means what it always does: accommodation near the fairgrounds gets scarce and hotel prices climb.
Why Security books out especially early
Unlike public fairs, Security is a pure trade event: whole teams travel in – exhibitors with booth staff, sales teams, buyers and technicians. Many stay all four days. Exactly these groups book early and block the larger accommodations first. Our experience: things get tight four weeks before the fair at the latest – anyone searching in September pays a premium or commutes from far outside.
Apartment instead of hotel: the better deal, especially for teams
For exhibitor teams, an apartment pays off twice: our larger apartments sleep up to 6 in separate bedrooms – the team stays together instead of spread across three hotels, at a fraction of the price. Add the things that matter after a 10-hour fair day: your own kitchen for breakfast before the halls open, a washing machine, high-speed Wi-Fi for follow-ups and self-check-in around the clock in case booth set-up runs late. On request you get an invoice with itemised VAT in the company name.
Quick to the fair – how you stay with us
Our apartments are just minutes from Messe Essen: by car via the A52/A40, or relaxed on the U11 metro line, which stops right at the fair entrance. Several apartments have their own parking or underground spaces – handy for company vehicles carrying equipment.
Secure availability now
On our Security Essen page you can see live availability of our apartments for the fair days. Booking directly means no portal fees, a personal contact and flexible arrangements – for example an early check-in on set-up day. For teams needing several apartments, we are happy to coordinate units close to each other.
